Peter Kolnhofer and David Ekenvi are the founders of Techtal Group, which consists of the IT consultancies Developers Bay, Techstars and Developers Shore. We started working with the group in June 2020 and have been following the companies on their amazing growth journey.
We at Salesgroup have supported Techtal Group with recruitment of sales, consulting and marketing staff and have so far been involved in around 20 recruitments for their offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö.
Now the group is continuing its expansion journey and we have been entrusted to find a Sales Account Manager to work on the Dutch market.
We ask Malin Liljeson, Consultant Manager at Developers Bay, a few short questions.
Tell us a bit about your role at Developers Bay?
The role is very much about building relationships with consultants and clients to make the best possible match for both parties. You need to understand the needs of the client, the needs of the consultants, understand their interests, and most importantly their skills. It's really super fun and you learn all the time.
It's a social and relationship-building role and there's a lot of selling to both client and consultant. It's also about getting across why people should choose us at Developers Bay and what we can offer. I also follow up with the consultants out on assignments as we are keen to know what assignments the consultants find exciting, where they want to develop and what drives them forward.
What do you find the most fun in the role?
I think the most fun is when you get to learn about what the consultants can do, it's so cool to learn through the consultants, exchange experiences and create long-term partnerships. I also appreciate the internal collaboration we have here with the whole team. We help and support each other, are there for each other and you get a great social exchange.
One day is not like the other and I really enjoy the role, the company and the variety of work.
What do you think about the recruitment process and the cooperation with Salesgroup?
I appreciated that the responsible TA consultant was very responsive to what I wanted as a candidate. She was keen to make sure there was the right match, consultative and engaged throughout the process. She was good at following up and checking in after every step, which made me feel special and appreciated as a candidate. There was a personal touch, professional and pleasant dialogue throughout. As a result, I have recommended Salesgroup to my own network as I was treated so well.
