Guian is Sales Manager at </SALT> - School of applied technology where he is responsible for eight sales people, of which we at Salesgroup have recruited three. </SALT> helps companies solve one of the most difficult and critical challenges in the market, recruiting and hiring developers. </SALT> is in a unique position where the company itself attracts and retrains hobby coders to become professional developers. In the fall of 2021 we started a partnership with </SALT>, we sat down with Guian who is the sales manager to hear a bit more about how he thinks the partnership has worked out.
Guian what were your needs and challenges?
The need for us at </SALT> was to expand the sales team with three additional sales people as we saw a strong demand in the market. We realised early on that we needed outside support, this was because we had been trying to find and attract sales people ourselves who were both a good fit for the role and for us as a company.
Why did you choose Salesgroup as your partner?
We met with several recruitment companies but decided to go with Salesgroup as they specialise in commercial profiles in IT/Tech. We also liked the idea of having an experienced TA (Talent Acquisition) consultant dedicated to us.
We have previously tried to recruit with competitors to Salesgroup where the concept was single recruitment. What we liked about the TA approach was that we got a dedicated team that both worked closely and sat with us.
They were accessible, fast, flexible and challenged us and our way of thinking. If we needed to redirect something in the recruitment process, we had a close dialogue and Salesgroup was always there as a support and a discussion partner during the whole project.
How do you find the collaboration working?
We think the cooperation with Salesgroup has worked very well. We have now recruited three salespeople with different personalities and experience, which contributes to a good team dynamic. We have consistently had a tight collaboration, received clarity through reports, weekly reconciliations/updates and a good flow of good candidates.
